ReliaSoft uses minor version "service releases" to add features and resolve any issues with the software. These updates are free to registered users and this page allows you to download the most recent service release for RGA.

We recommend that you check this Web site occasionally to make sure that you are always running the most up-to-date version of the software that is available.

To determine the Compile Release Version (CRV) of the application on your computer, select About from the Help menu.

 

Prior Versions
If you have not yet upgraded from RG 1.0, click here to order the upgrade. RG 1.0 is no longer supported.
Single-User License

If you have a single-user license for RGA, and have not yet updated to version 6.5.X, please download and install the following full installation (see FAQ). It is strongly recommended to first uninstall the prior version (i.e. 6.0.X).

If you have a single-user license for RGA, and have already updated to version 6.5.X, please download and install the following service release.

Network License

If you have a network license for RGA and your organization has not yet updated to version 6.5.X, please contact ReliaSoft.

If your organization has already updated to version 6.5.X, please download and install the following service release on each client computer. NOTE: In order for the client application to work properly, the current version of the Network User Management Console must have been installed on the server by the network administrator. Downloading and Installing Service Releases

To download the installation program, right-click the link and select Save Target As (or the equivalent command for your browser) from the shortcut menu.

Remember to close all other applications before running the installation.

Modifications and Enhancements to RGA 6
The modifications/enhancements for each service release are described next. This information is also available in the ReadMe file that is installed with the software. The most recent service release (build) contains all previous modifications.

Build 6.5.5
Modifications

  • Resolved issue with saving files.
  • Fixed the Folio Control Panel to display correctly on Microsoft Windows Vista.
  • Updated Weibull++ attachment support.
  • Addressed issue with the Grouped Failure Times parameter bounds calculation for data sets containing large "Number at Event" values.

Build 6.5.4
Modifications

  • Fixed the Failure Mode Strategy plot for data sets containing times to event less than 0.5.
  • Corrected the IFI/IMTBF exact confidence bounds calculation for grouped data.
  • Corrected the CVM calculation for Multiple and Repairable Systems.
  • Addressed issue with transferring system data containing no failures to Weibull++.
  • Modified the output of non-specified EF values in the BD Modes Summary for Automated Reports.
  • Updated Folio to remember BD Mode and Comment column alignment when switching between systems in Advanced System View.

Build 6.5.3
Modifications

  • Corrected the DMTBF/DFI value displayed in automated reports for Multiple Systems - Unknown Equivalent Times.
  • Modified the method of calculating the default time interval value for MTBF and failure intensity plots when using the Multiple Systems - Unknown Equivalent Times data type and beta is greater than one.

Build 6.5.2
Modifications

  • Modified the procedure that displays statistical test results for individual systems on the data panel to ensure it always uses the significance level specified in the user setup.
  • Removed an intermittent calculation warning resulting from a check on the Fisher Matrix even when Fisher Matrix was not the selected confidence interval method.

  • Added a user warning when trying to calculate a data set with effectiveness factors equal to zero.
  • Added a user setup option to show the Crow-AMSAA beta for a data set calculated under the beta=1 hypothesis.
  • Added a user setup option to call the instantaneous MTBF/FI at the end of a developmental test 'Demonstrated' or 'Achieved'.
  • Modified the system operation plot for data sets calculated using dates to show the time line based on days into test.
  • Modified the results shown in the analysis and projection summaries for reports.

Modifications

  • Corrected the parameter bounds for continuous data and fielded systems for the Crow confidence method.
  • Corrected an intermittent issue with bounds on instantaneous MTBF/FI and time given instantaneous MTBF/FI for the Crow confidence method.
  • Corrected the bounds on mission time for repairable systems when using the Fisher Matrix confidence method.
  • Corrected the MTBF/FI of System Before and After Corrections calculation in the Function Wizard.
  • Corrected an intermittent issue with the calculations for repairable systems when the unbiased beta option was selected.
  • Added a convert data type utility for multiple systems (unknown equivalent times), repairable and fleet data types.
  • Added a check to ensure all BC classifications have an associated mode value.
  • Updated the Effectiveness Factor window to allow individual EF values of 0 or 1.
  • Removed all growth potential calculations and plots for data sets not containing BD modes.
  • Modified the confidence bounds for fleet to follow the same method as grouped data when using the Crow confidence method.
  • Modified the calculation for the average effectiveness factor of BC modes.
  • Modified the growth potential calculation for data sets containing BC modes.
  • Modified the Failure Mode Strategy plot calculation which is now based on the instantaneous failure intensity at the end of the test.

  • Added Extended model analysis for Multiple Systems - Known Failure Times.
  • Added an Equivalent System function to the Function Wizard for Multiple Systems - Known Failure Times.
  • Modified Fisher Matrix calculation for Grouped Failure Times.
  • Resolved an issue associated with Crow confidence bounds for Repairable systems.

Build 6.0.2
Modifications

  • Corrected the unbiased beta calculation for failure terminated data.
  • Corrected the Observed and Estimated Cumulative Failures Table function in the Function Wizard for fielded systems. The table did not include the number of failures for the final failure time.
  • Added Mission Time calculations for repairable systems.
  • Added additional options for transferring data to Weibull++.
  • Added the ability to sort modes by MTBF and change in MTBF for Individual Mode plots.
  • Added a date column to the Equivalent System function in the Function Wizard if dates were considered in the calculations.
  • Added convert failure mode functionality to data sheets.
  • Added warning for calculations that have a beta of the BC's or BD's greater than one.
  • Updated the plot legend for the Crow-AMSAA (NHPP) model to display Crow (NHPP).
  • Updated the results area of data sheets to display the beta equals one value in red if the hypothesis is invalid.
  • Updated the various percent failure mode (A, BC, BD) functions in the Function Wizard to always return values in percent. The return values were returned as fractions if the use percent values option was checked in the User Setup.
  • Modified Failure Mode Strategy calculations and added seen and unseen BC modes.
  • Modified the time line used in the Chi-Squared goodness-of-fit calculation window for Fleet data.
  • Modified the CVM goodness-of-fit test for the beta equals one hypothesis.
  • Modified the CBH calculation so that it only applies if all systems are calculated.
  • Resolved an issue with some analysis settings not getting updated in the Control Panel when switching between sheets.
  • Resolved an issue with multiple and fielded systems not correctly importing data from Excel.
  • Resolved an issue with some folio settings not getting updated when moving or copying multiple and fielded systems data sheets.
  • Resolved an issue with parsing A failure modes into the classification and mode columns.
  • Resolved an intermittent issue with Word and Excel remaining open when "View Report" was not selected.
  • Resolved issues with creating reports in Word 97.
  • Resolved issues with the Lloyd-Lipow reliability data calculation.
