Weibull++ DE Features Summary
Over the years, many companies have expressed a desire to integrate ReliaSoft's Weibull++ life data analysis software with their own quality systems, reliability/quality databases, and/or "home grown" applications to enable automated analyses. Weibull++ DE provides this solution by enabling software developers to easily:
- Use Weibull++ data analysis engines.
- Use Weibull++ plotting engines.
- Integrate Weibull++ into custom applications.
- Create other applications utilizing Weibull++ components.
Weibull++ 7 DE provides two different interfaces that can be used separately or together to support the specific customized applications that will meet your needs.
The Calculation/Plotting OCX
This is an ActiveX control that allows software developers to embed Weibull++ calculation and plotting engines in applications that they create. Applications can be built utilizing a programming environment that supports ActiveX components, such as Visual Basic, VBA, Visual C++, etc. Other applications that support ActiveX (e.g. using VBA in Microsoft Excel® or Microsoft Access®) can also be used.

The Interface DLL
This is an ActiveX DLL that provides the software developer with access to the Weibull++ application itself, allowing control of Weibull++ through the developer's application. This DLL is the same interface currently utilized by ReliaSoft to link Weibull++ functionality in ReliaSoft's other software products, including BlockSim, ALTA, Xfmea, RCM++ and RENO.

For custom applications developed with Weibull++ 7 DE Standard, a licensed copy of the Weibull++ 7 software must be installed on each user's computer in order to enable the Weibull++ functionality.
