Weibull++ DE Features Summary
Over the years, many companies have expressed a desire to integrate ReliaSoft's Weibull++ life data analysis software with their own quality systems, reliability/quality databases, and/or "home grown" applications to enable automated analyses. Weibull++ DE provides this solution by enabling software developers to easily:
- Use Weibull++ data analysis engines.
- Use Weibull++ plotting engines.
- Integrate Weibull++ into custom applications.
- Create other applications utilizing Weibull++ components.
Weibull++ 7 DE provides two different interfaces that can be used separately or together to support the specific customized applications that will meet your needs.
The Calculation/Plotting OCX
This is an ActiveX control that allows software developers to embed Weibull++ calculation and plotting engines in applications that they create. Applications can be built utilizing a programming environment that supports ActiveX components, such as Visual Basic, VBA, Visual C++, etc. Other applications that support ActiveX (e.g. using VBA in Microsoft Excel? or Microsoft Access?) can also be used.

The Interface DLL
This is an ActiveX DLL that provides the software developer with access to the Weibull++ application itself, allowing control of Weibull++ through the developer's application. This DLL is the same interface currently utilized by ReliaSoft to link Weibull++ functionality in ReliaSoft's other software products, including BlockSim, ALTA, Xfmea, RCM++ and RENO.

For custom applications developed with Weibull++ 7 DE Standard, a licensed copy of the Weibull++ 7 software must be installed on each user's computer in order to enable the Weibull++ functionality.
