 Free Product Update to Weibull++ Version 7.5.X
(Integration with ALTA 7)

ALTA Quantitative Accelerated Life Testing (QALT) Data Analysis

With the release of version 7.5, ReliaSoft's Weibull++ (life data analysis) and ALTA (quantitative accelerated life testing data analysis) software products are more tightly integrated than ever before. You can now save Weibull++ and ALTA analyses together in the same file and switch back and forth between the two product interfaces with the click of a button. In order to take advantage of this integration, both Weibull++ 7 and ALTA 7 must be installed on your computer and Weibull++ users must update to Version 7.5.1 or higher.

The update from Weibull++ 7.X.X to 7.5.X is free (via download) to registered users. However, it requires a full re-installation and re-activation of the software. Please note:

  • You can download the installation from the Weibull++ product site.

  • Because this is a new version, not a service release, after the installation you will be prompted to enter your license number and re-register (activate) the product. Before running the installation, please locate and record your license number. This was originally placed on the last page of the User's Guide. You can also get the license number from the first page of the User Setup screen (File | User Setup). 


FAQ

Q: Why is the size of the downloaded file so much larger than usual?

A: This is a free version update, not a service release. It is necessary to fully re-install the software and full product setups are typically larger than minor service releases because they contain all of the files necessary for the product to function.


Q: We have a network license. What do we do?

A: Do not use the full product installation posted on the Web site. ReliaSoft will mail you the upgrade along with instructions.


Q: I don't have ALTA 7. Do I need the update?

A: We recommend that you update your software because future service releases will be based on the 7.5.X version. Thus, to take advantages of these, you will need to upgrade to the latest release. ReliaSoft will not issue any service releases for the prior version.
