Software Maintenance Contracts
For ReliaSoft's standard software products, an active maintenance contract entitles you to:
- Free technical support (excluding consulting). See http://Support.ReliaSoft.com.
- Free minor version updates. Minor updates are available for download at http://www.ReliaSoft.com/synthesis/downloads.htm.
- Free major version upgrades. Major upgrades are distributed upon software release using the delivery information provided on the original order. It is imperative that you notify ReliaSoft if the delivery or main contact information changes.
- Credit towards the purchase of a higher-level license and maintenance contract (e.g., when you upgrade from a single user to a floating license, from Standard to PRO, etc.). This includes the original software cost and the unused portion of this maintenance contract (pro-rated and applied to the maintenance fee for the higher-level license).
The fee for a 1-year maintenance contract is 20% of the software list price, and is mandatory for the first year on all new purchases.
Renewal: The contract renews automatically on the renewal date listed on the Annual Maintenance Certificate provided. Unless the contract has been canceled, a renewal form will be sent to the main contact listed on the Annual Maintenance Certificate. If a response is not received within 30 days, the contract will be considered canceled.
The cost to renew the contract will be based on the list price of the software at the time of each renewal.
Please note that lapses in maintenance contracts are not allowed. In the case where a contract expired, any future renewals will begin on the day following the original expiration date.
Cancelation: The contract can be canceled at any time in writing by e-mail, fax or letter. In case of cancelation, ReliaSoft will not pro-rate or issue any refunds for any unused time on this agreement. There is no grace period for cancelations.
