New Product Release - RCM++ 5 for FMEA and Related Analyses
TUCSON, AZ (May 3, 2010) - ReliaSoft Corporation announced today
the release of a new major version upgrade to its RCM++ software.
RCM++ facilitates the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis
process and provides flexible data management and reporting features.
The software includes configurable capabilities for Equipment Selection,
Failure Effect Categorization and Maintenance Task Selection. RCM++ also
provides simulations that can be used to compare various maintenance
strategies based on cost and availability and a calculator to estimate
the optimum replacement interval. RCM++ is fully integrated with
ReliaSoft's Xfmea software (any database that you create with Xfmea can
be opened with RCM++ and vice versa) and includes full-featured
capabilities for FMEA, FMECA and related analyses.
Doug Ogden, ReliaSoft's Vice President of Customer Services, made the following comments about the release of RCM++ 5 (and the companion product, Xfmea 5): "Our development team spent a great deal of time and effort improving an already user-friendly interface and adding functionality to the most feature-rich FMEA and RCM solutions on the market. I expect that the end result will satisfy the most demanding of users and provide a strong incentive for our existing user base to upgrade to the new versions. The added support for SQL Server and Oracle databases (with the purchase of an Enterprise license) ensures scalability and is sure to meet the IT demands of the largest of organizations."
Version 5 offers a completely updated user interface and many new features, such as:
-
Support for Oracle and/or SQL Server databases to store analysis information. (Requires an "RCM++ Enterprise" license, which also supports Microsoft Access databases.)
-
Major usability enhancements and more configuration options for analysis worksheets.
-
Ability to assign different permission levels for different analysis projects.
-
Greatly increased flexibility for queries, report generation and importing/exporting data via Excel.
