ReliaSoft makes a major donation to the University of
Arkansas College of Engineering
TUCSON, AZ (December
3, 2007) - ReliaSoft Corporation announced today a major donation to support the Department of Industrial
Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of Arkansas,
Fayetteville. The donation of $714,227 will provide computer equipment,
software, renovated research space and financial support for students.
The donation will help the college’s industrial engineering department
establish the ReliaSoft Risk, Reliability, and Maintainability Research
Alliance.
"This donation is in line with our
corporate philosophy of working closely with educational institutions to
provide resources and to promote research that will advance the future
of Reliability Engineering," said Pantelis Vassiliou, ReliaSoft
Corporation President and CEO, who presented a ceremonial check for the
gift to Ashok Saxena, dean of the College of Engineering at the
Fayetteville campus.
As part of the donation, students and
researchers at the ReliaSoft Risk, Reliability, and Maintainability
Research Alliance center will utilize ReliaSoft’s extensive suite of
software tools for both educational and research purposes.
