Modifications and Enhancements to MPC 3

The modifications/enhancements for each service release are described next. This information is also available in the ReadMe file that is installed with the software. The most recent service release (build) contains all previous modifications. To determine the Compile Release Version (CRV) of the application on your computer, choose About from the Help menu. Build 3.0.16

  • Added a reporting option to fit the report templates used by Sukhoi.
  • Adjusted the license utility to allow Concurrent and Network licenses.

Build 3.0.15

  • Added "2007.1" to the options on the "Session Preferences" page of the User Setup that allow the user to specify which version of the MSG-3 guidelines to use for analysis and report generation.

Build 3.0.14

  • Added the ability to turn off the report generation warnings if desired (Session Preferences tab of the User Setup).
  • Added the ability to select which version of the MSG-3 guidelines will be used to set the MSI selection questions (Session Preferences tab of the User Setup).
  • Addressed an issue with the spell-check feature enabled for the Form 2 report.
  • Addressed an issue with the MSI numbers displayed in reports when the System or Subsystem number has three digits.
  • Addressed an issue with the warnings displayed upon report generation for some data sets.
  • Modified the Dassault template to display the page number for each Task Data report in the "List of Effective Pages" form and to display FEC-specific numbers for the Task Selection Questions (e.g. the first task selection question for a Category 5 failure is labeled 5A instead of 1, and so on).

Build 3.0.13

  • Addressed an issue with "releasing" the database for read-write access by another user after the first user closes the database.

Build 3.0.11

  • Modified the report generation functionality to reduce the time required to generate reports. Form 4 (Failure Effect Category) will be included only for effects that have been categorized. Form 5-9 (Task Selection Questions) will be included only for causes that have completed the task selection process.
  • Resolved issues with the font size and the Category field in Form 4 (Failure Effect Category).
  • Added the ability to report MSI numbers in the format XXYYZZ, where XX represents the system, YY represents the subsystem and ZZ represents the subsubsystem. For example, system 26 (FIRE PROTECTION), subsystem 10 (Detection) and subsubsystem 11 (Engine Fire Detection) can be identified in the report with the number 261011 or 261100, based on the user's selection in the User Setup.

Build 3.0.10

  • Addressed an issue with missing sections breaks in reports generated with some versions of Microsoft Word.

  • Addressed a data conversion issue for another variation of version 1 databases.

  • Addressed an issue with converting version 1 databases.

  • Resolved intermittent issue with the description displayed at the top of the Task Selection and Assignment and other windows.
  • Increased the size of the Function, Failure, Effect and Cause description fields from 115 to 255 characters.

  • Resolved issue with editing task description.

  • Expanded the part description to 100 characters.
  • Modified form 2 of the report to include historical and predicted MTBF.
  • Modified wording of task selection questions to exactly match the ATA document.
  • Resolved an issue with question 6 of task selection saving the correct user response.
  • Resolved an issue with inserting causes.
