As I review this issue of Reliability Edge, I find evidence of many of the exciting improvements and enhancements to ReliaSoft products and services in recent months. I wish to take this opportunity to highlight a few of those developments.

In the Exploring Reliability Analysis Using Simulation article, we briefly explore a couple of ways that simulation analysis can illustrate and augment life data analyses. The utility mentioned, ReliaSoft’s SimuMatic?, is the newest free software tool available on www.weibull.com. For access to current and future tools as they become available, go to http://www.weibull.com/freetools. SimuMatic was developed using a prototype of ReliaSoft’s Weibull++ Developer’s Edition. Now in the development stage, this developer’s software will allow programmers to include the same engines and libraries that drive ReliaSoft’s Weibull++ in the software applications that they design.

Our Bulletin Board section (only available in the printed version of the newsletter) presents some of the newest additions to our www.weibull.com reliability engineering site. I encourage you to take advantage of the material provided on this site and to continue to offer suggestions for the types of resources that you may find useful. In addition, we invite you to establish links to those resources from your own Web sites and documents. To add to the comments in the For Your Information section, I wish to give you my personal assurance that ReliaSoft is dedicated to minimizing any inconvenience to our customers as we complete the transition of our Sales and Marketing activities to the Tucson office. This move will provide greater integration between our sales staff and product development/support personnel. We expect this enhanced cooperation to translate into better customer service and products that will more completely meet your needs.
