Call for Presentations: 2006 ARS in Orlando, Florida

The 2006 International Applied Reliability Symposium will be held June 14 - 16, 2006 at the Sheraton World Resort in Orlando, Florida. The Symposium is currently accepting presentation proposals that address the Symposium theme: Sharing applications, success stories and lessons learned in reliability and maintainability engineering.

Submission Guidelines
Subjects that may be covered include, but are not limited to:

  • Warranty reduction
  • Reliability as an investment, not a cost
  • Specifying reliability metrics
  • Supplier management
  • Data collection, management and analysis
  • Reliability and safety
  • Reliability and market share
  • Reliability testing
  • Software reliability
  • Manufacturing reliability
Presentations will be accepted on the basis of the proposal. Because of the applied nature of the Symposium, presenters are asked to submit materials in PowerPoint? presentation format only. An accompanying paper is not required. 60 minutes have been allocated to each presentation with 10 minutes of questions for a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes per session.

Presenters receive complimentary registration for the event. There is no additional compensation.

Highlights from the 2005 Event
Survey results from the 2005 event held in San Diego, California on May 18 - 20, 2005 were overwhelmingly positive, with 96% of respondents expressing satisfaction with the experience. With over 300 participants from industry and government, the Symposium once again provided an excellent opportunity to learn from experienced reliability practitioners and to establish networking relationships with colleagues in the field.

The 2005 Symposium featured a keynote address by Vice Admiral Scott Fry, U.S. Navy (Retired) and 26 presentations and tutorials covering topics ranging from FMEA and accelerated testing to field testing and warranty analysis.End Article
