Delivery Questions

Hardcopy Delivery Questions
How is shipping computed and how long does it take for the product to arrive?
Shipping is generally done via an express courier (FedEx, DHL or UPS). Depending on the items purchased and the final destination, the store automatically computes shipping costs.
  • In the U.S., Canada, Europe and Singapore, packages are normally delivered within 2 to 3 business days from the time we process your order.
  • Shipping to other countries is done via International Priority and can be anywhere from 2 to 7 days, depending on the final destination and local custom clearance efficiency.
  • Normally, our on-line store will provide you with an estimate of the shipping time.
  • If you need faster service, please contact us! Alternatively, you can use our eDelivery method.
What is in the "Hardcopy"?
With Hardcopy delivery, the product will arrive in its box with printed documentation and the software on a CD-ROM.
Who is responsible for Duties or Import  Taxes when shipping to my country?
ReliaSoft always ships FOB (Freight on Board), which means that we are not responsible for any duties or import taxes your government may levy on goods imported into your country. ReliaSoft's on-line store shipments originate from the USA, European Union (Poland) and Singapore. Depending on your location, ReliaSoft will select the most appropriate point of origin.
eDelivery Questions
What is in "eDelivery"?
eDelivery requires that you download a zip file that will contain all the items that are in the box, but in a digital format. In other words, all the documentation will be in the downloaded zip file in pdf file format, etc.
How big are the files and what download speed do I need to use "eDelivery"?
Please note that most of the files for eDelivery are large. Software packs can be from 20MB to 80MB; thus a sufficiently fast Internet connection is required.
How does it work?
Once your order has been processed, you will receive an e-mail with a link to download the package.
  • Use this link to download the file containing the package you purchased.
  • If you ordered software, you will receive a separate e-mail with your license number for the product.
  • You will need that license number to activate the software.
  • Both your download link and your license number will be e-mailed by the U.S. office during normal business hours.
    • This office is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Arizona (GMT-7:00), Monday through Friday, excluding U.S. holidays. [see ReliaSoft Observed Holidays]. Generally, orders received by 2:00 pm (see local time) are processed the same day. Otherwise, orders are processed the next business day.
  • The download link will be active for 72 hours (3 days) after we e-mail you the link.
What is in the eDelivery Packs?
  Software Products:
Software products are packaged in a self-extracting zip archive.
As an example, the pack with Weibull++ 7 is a self-extracting executable named WeibullPack.exe. Once downloaded, running the executable extracts the following files (in the directory chosen):

Publications: Publications are provided in the form of pdf files that you download.

What if I have problems downloading?
First and foremost, keep in mind that we are here to help. You can contact us with any problems that you encounter and we will try to remedy the situation. Having said that, here we'll try to address some common issues that you may encounter.
  • Download stopped.
    • You can try downloading the product again. Your link will be active for 72 hours and can be used multiple times.
  • My link expired before I could download the product.
    • Contact us and we can reinstate the link.
  • I tried everything but can't download it.
    • Contact us and we can provide you with alternate download methods or mail you a CD-ROM containing the pack. Note that postage and handling charges will apply. Alternatively, we can convert your order to Hardcopy delivery.
What is the difference between Hardcopy and eDelivery?
For most products, we provide options for both eDelivery and Hardcopy delivery. eDelivery allows you to download the products you purchased, while Hardcopy delivery involves sending you boxed material with printed documentation. In general, eDelivery is cheaper and there are no shipping charges associated with it; whereas Hardcopy delivery includes shipping charges.
Are there any import taxes or other taxes that apply?
In the case of eDelivery, ReliaSoft does not ship a product to you and therefore the product does not go through the normal custom clearance. It is your responsibility to adhere to any local import laws and pay any applicable tax.
