What's New in Version 10? Lambda Predict Enhancements

In addition to significant enhancements in the Version 10 Synthesis Platform, we also continue to expand the capabilities of individual Synthesis desktop applications. Here's a quick overview of the main new and improved features in Lambda Predict 10.

MIL-217 Parts Count

Version 10 now includes a separate prediction folio for MIL-217 parts count analysis. The new folio restricts your analyses to the rules of parts count prediction, helping you to eliminate potential errors that may occur as a result of mixing part stress and parts count components.

FIDES Phase Sets

For FIDES predictions, the ability to use predefined phase records saves time when you’re defining the life profile for a system or assembly. Now in Version 10, you can group the individual records together into predefined phase sets, which make it even easier to create the profile for a particular item. Simply assign the appropriate phase set, and even append individual phases if needed.

New FIDES Plots

We’ve also added two new plots for the FIDES standard. The Factor per Phase plot compares the contribution made by each phase to the acceleration factors (e.g., thermal cycling factor, mechanical factor, chemical factor, etc.), and the Lambda Phase by Component plot compares the contribution made by each phase to the component's failure rate.

Support for NSWC-11

The Handbook of Reliability Prediction Procedures for Mechanical Equipment, issued by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, provides reliability prediction models for mechanical components, such as seals, springs, pumps, valves, brakes and more. In Version 10, Lambda Predict now supports both NSWC-07 (published in 2007) and NSWC-11 (updated in 2011).

Open Multiple Projects

In all Synthesis desktop applications that use a current project explorer (Weibull++/ALTA, RGA, DOE++, BlockSim/RENO and Lambda Predict), you can now choose to have multiple projects open simultaneously. When this feature is enabled, it’s easier than ever to import/export between projects using convenient drag and drop.

Share Analysis Info via Synthesis Enterprise Portal

If your organization chooses to implement the web-based Synthesis Enterprise Portal for an enterprise database, you can choose to publish selected analysis information to share with the team — including managers and colleagues who don't have Synthesis desktop applications installed — accessible via any web-enabled device.
