Defining a Counter Block

A Counter Block records the number of times that the simulation passes through it. can be used to count the number of times the block was executed (traversed). Reset options include:

  • Global: The counter is never reset.

  • Simulation: The counter is reset after each simulation.

  • Run: The counter is reset after each run (i.e. a specified number of simulations).

The Counter Block can also have a start value and an increment value. For example, with a start value of 0 and an increment of 1, the block will start the count from 0 and count 1, 2, 3...

The output of the Counter Block can be stored in a defined Storage Variable, if desired.
