Certified Six Sigma Green Belt |
|
Green Belts are the
primary link between your organization and your
customer. They are on the front lines when assessing
customer requirements and collecting data. The most
widely used tools and concepts of Lean and Six Sigma are
introduced here.
Session 1 - Day 1:
Introduction to Six Sigma
The first session of
Green Belt training is designed for executives and all
other personnel as a high-level overview exploring the
potential of breakthrough performance with Six Sigma
methodology. It is the first building block of Six Sigma
Green Belt and Black Belt training. Special emphasis is
placed on resource requirements and implementation
designs. Successful Six Sigma company and project
examples from a variety of industries will be presented.
For those already building a Six Sigma organization,
this session provides valuable guidelines to increase
the effectiveness of your implementation.
- Understand the
applicability of Six Sigma Breakthrough Methodology
- Become conscious
of the resources required for successful
implementation
- Outline the roles
and responsibilities of the entire organization
- Gain respect for
the pitfalls that plague unsuccessful projects
- Recognize the
fundamental value of the DMAIC method
- Develop a roadmap
to guide your unique organization through effective
implementation
- Learn new
applications of Six Sigma that you may have
overlooked
- See the next step
toward breakthrough performance
Session 2 - Days
2-5: Six Sigma Green Belt Training
In this session,
participants are encouraged to bring a project from
their company to the class (we can help with project
selection). The instructor will mentor participants
through the project. This allows real gains and real
applications to be made during the course (the returns
on class projects are usually vastly greater in value
than the cost of the course). Certification will be
awarded upon completion of the course and final exam
performance. Note: If Six Sigma project completion is
verified within two months of course completion, Green
Belt Project Leader Certification will be awarded
(project verification post-course may require additional
cost).
- Understand the
DMAIC methodology (define, measure, analyze,
improve, control)
- Master techniques
to seek out and validate customer needs
- Learn accurate
data collection techniques and develop information
from raw data
- Grasp the
foundation of Six Sigma statistics
- Realize the
synergistic relationship between Six Sigma and
reliability engineering
