Re-Installing Applications on Windows 2000 or Windows XP Computers
Issue:
When the
Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system was released, ReliaSoft
modified existing products (specifically, Weibull++ 5.0, ALTA 1.0
and BlockSim) to be compatible with the new operating system. This modification also ensures compatibility with the new Windows XP operating system.
If you purchased the product prior to the release of
Windows 2000 (February, 2000) and you attempt to re-install the
product from the original CD-ROM onto a Windows 2000 or Windows XP computer, you
may encounter an error during the re-installation. This is due to
the fact that the installation routine does not recognize the
operating system, which was not available when you
purchased the product.
Solution:
To resolve this issue, install a Windows 2000/Windows XP compatible release
of the software onto your computer. If you are a licensed user,
there are two ways to obtain the latest Windows 2000/Windows XP compatible
release of the product. You can:
1) Contact ReliaSoft
Support to obtain the username/password required to download the
product from the ReliaSoft Web site at no cost to you.
OR
2) Request a new installation CD-ROM from ReliaSoft by phone at
+1.520.886.0410. There is a $12.95 charge to cover shipping and
handling when using this option.
