Examples Using the Synthesis Platform

ReliaSoft's Synthesis Platform makes it feasible to more effectively leverage and integrate the information from different types of reliability activities throughout the organization. 

We have compiled some examples to demonstrate the types of analyses that are possible by using the Synthesis Platform to integrate reliability engineering activities performed in different analysis tools.

Examples Using Xfmea and BlockSim

Example 1:

Complex Risk Analysis of System Level Effects

This example illustrates the generation of fault tree diagrams for a single effect that may exist in multiple FMEAs in a single system.

Examples Using Weibull++/ALTA and BlockSim

Example 2:

Analytical RBD for a Complex System
(with Reliability Data from Weibull++ and Confidence Bounds for BlockSim Results)

This project contains a reliability block diagram (RBD) for a complex system (in BlockSim), where the source of the reliability model for each block is an analyzed standard folio data sheet (in Weibull++). Confidence bounds can be calculated for the BlockSim analysis results because the exact algebraic system reliability equation and the source data for the blocks are both available.

Simulation RBD for a Complex System
(with Reliability and Repair Distributions from Weibull++)

This project contains a reliability block diagram (RBD) for a complex system (in BlockSim), where the sources of the reliability models and corrective maintenance task durations are analyzed standard folio data sheets (in Weibull++).
