ReliaSoft's Xfmea is available in two versions: Standard and Enterprise.

Designed for:

Individuals and small departments
Individuals or small departments working on separate or the same FMEA / FMECA projects concurrently.

Large departments or the entire organization
Large departments or organizations working on separate or the same FMEA / FMECA projects concurrently.

File/storage  structure:

Users create individual database files (based on Microsoft Access®) that can be stored on a user's computer or in shared directories.

Generally deployed using a single database on a separate shared database server. 

Max database size:

2 GB per database file

1,048,516 TB per database.

Number of concurrent users:

Up to 255. However, among other factors that impact performance, increasing the number of concurrent users for a single database will negatively impact performance.

In the thousands. Limited only by available memory on the database server.

Underlying database:

Microsoft Access®

Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or 2005
(Requires the appropriate IT infrastructure and support to create and maintain the database, create user accounts, allow users to access the database, etc.)

Xfmea Enterprise provides all of the features available in Xfmea Standard plus some additional features that are made possible by the fact that all system users log into the same centralized SQL Server® database. These additional features include:

  • Expanded actions management capabilities
  • Automatic login and flexible access levels for user accounts
  • Detailed transaction log
