What's New in Version 11? XFRACAS
Here's a quick overview of the main new and improved features in XFRACAS 11.
Admin users can now create predefined
groups of users that can be quickly assigned to the team for an Incident,
Problem or Project.
This will save time when you frequently assign the same users for specific
Easier to Import Data via Excel or XML
XFRACAS continues to expand and improve the options for importing data from external sources. In Version 11:
Import directly from Excel: We've added two convenient new *.xlsx templates: Parts (for system templates or serialized system configurations) and Issues (for lookup list data).
XML import examples: We've added four new examples that you can adapt to import your own data via XML: Simple Incident, Serialized Incident, Users and Parts.
Watched Reports and Charts
The new "watch" feature provides a quick and convenient way to access the reports and charts that you use most often. If you have implemented a Synthesis Enterprise Portal website, the XFRACAS reports will also be included with the other dashboards and reports that you are watching in SEP.
New "Select Current User" Button
For any drop-down list that displays current system users, a new button makes it fast and easy to select your own name from the list.
Charts with Data from Multiple Entities
We have added the option to select
more than one entity for pareto charts. For example, you can now look
at an incident count broken out by incident status or a responsible part
across all your business units.
Enter Run Hours for Repaired Parts
You can now enter the current run hours when repairing a part, which will provide better data for life data analysis.
More Configuration Options
Version 11 provides more flexibility for admin users to configure the website to fit your organization's particular needs. You can now choose to:
Hide the action section(s) on the Incident, Problem or Project pages.
Hide incidents on the Problem page, which configures the website to facilitate problem resolution without tracking individual incidents.
Hide sections in the Customer Support (CSI) page that are not relevant to your implementation: Warranty, Contact, Unit Owner Address, Shipment Date, ASP, ASP Tech Field or Distributor.
We've also increased the flexibility for e-mail notifications:
More configuration options for e-mail templates: You can now add more specific details into the body of the message.
Notification when the "Owner" is reassigned: You can now send an automated notification when an Incident or Problem Owner is reassigned.
Choice to CC "Owner" for action notifications: You can now decide whether the owner of the Incident, Problem or Project receive courtesy copies (CCs) for action notification e-mails.
